Saturn - Neptune Conjunct (April 2025 - March 2026)
Saturn and Neptune will be dancing with each other from April of 2025 through March of 2026. This post will explore what this energy means for you and the collective, having two very large planets conjunct for such a long period of time.
Planetary Conjunctions:
First of all, let’s better understand what “conjunctions” mean within Astrology and Astronomy.
A conjunction in Astrology is when two planets are within 5 degrees of each other, whereas a conjunction within Astronomy is largely just looking at when the two planets are at the exact same degree or completely aligned with each other within the night sky.

Why are conjunctions important?
Conjunctions are essentially Planetary Holidays! They are important days when two energies come together taking on each other’s energies and operating “as one" or combining energies.
Let’s look into some important dates and timeframes for the Saturn - Neptune conjunction and then get into the Astrological Interpretations for what this energy means for you and the collective.
Important Dates and Timeframes:
Neptune has been in Pisces since April of 2019 and will stay in Pisces until March of 2040, this is due to Neptune’s extremely slow movement (from our perspective here on Earth) and Pisces taking up 47 degree’s of the Zodiac along the Sun’s Ecliptic Path.
Saturn has been in Pisces since August of 2024, dipping back into Aquarius for a short period of time while Retrograde, and will be in Pisces until May of 2028. Saturn moves much faster than Neptune when comparing the two. But, for almost an entire year (which we are currently experiencing), Saturn and Neptune will be within 5 degrees of each other in the night sky, taking on each other’s influences and having profound effects on the collective energy.
April 1, 2025:
The Astrological conjunction of Saturn and Neptune happened on April 01, 2025, when Saturn was at 8° of Pisces, making Saturn within 5 degrees of Neptune 13° of Pisces. In Astrology, we call this energy “applying”, as Saturn is “coming up on” or “applying” it’s energy to Neptune.
June 30, 2025:
The main conjunction, and Astronomic conjunction, of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces will take place on June 30, 2025 when both planets are at 14° Pisces.
But wait, there’s more. Both of these planets will also enter their Retrograde period around the same time, so, normally, Saturn would have been on it’s “separating” path away from Neptune, this conjunction however will be longer lasting due to both planet’s Retrograde periods.
July 4 & July 13, 2025:
Neptune and Saturn both begin their Retrograde periods. Saturn will be Retrograde in Pisces, going from 14° to 9° from July 13, 2025 through November 28th, 2025. While Neptune will be Retrograde in Pisces from 14° to 12° during July 4, 2025 through December 10, 2025. Dramatic, I know, we will explore what this all means later in this blog post but for now let’s understand the dates and time periods so we can all get a grasp on the energy timeframes.
The entire retrograde period however, Saturn will still be within 5 degrees of Neptune, making this Astrological conjunction very, very long.
August 6, 2025:
Saturn and Neptune will both be Retrograde and conjunct at 13°Pisces.
November 28, 2025:
Saturn ends it’s Retrograde period and goes direct in Pisces at 9°.
December 10, 2025:
Neptune ends it’s Retrograde period and goes direct in Pisces at 12°.
February 15, 2026:
Once Saturn is direct, it’s next Astronomical conjunction with Neptune will be on February 15, 2026 at 13°Pisces.
Saturn will then continue to “separate” or move froward from Neptune.
March 29, 2026:
Saturn ends it’s conjunction with Neptune! Moving on! Finally!
